Jap Ji

Jap means to repeat, and Ji means soul. The repetition of Japji gives you a consistent projection and allows you to access your own infinite source of inspiration and depth.  It was written by Guru Nanak, who with his companion, Mardana, traveled on foot over thousands of miles teaching people through song and simple inspiration to live exalted and simple lives.

According to Kundalini Yoga there are five elements or tattvas of which all matter is composed these 5 tattvas are earth, air, fire, water and ether. Additionally, in Kundalini yoga is the eighth chakra which is the the aura. Chanting the Japji creates a sonic vibration which moves through each chakra clearing and energizing these energetic centers.

Kundalini Yoga: Heart Chakra Yoga and Meditation

Artwork by Melina del Mar

We will be working on a Kundalini Yoga and meditation set for the Heart Chakra starting on January 21st.

The Heart Chakra, or Heart Center. is called Anahata. It is the energetic balancing point between the individual “self” concern and our concern for the universal, collective concern.  It is the balance point between “me” versus “we” and represents the opening of feelings, compassion, and the capacity to love. At the Heart Chakra there is no conflict; Heavens and Earth come together in balance. Heart-centered compassion is universal and unconditional.

Starts 1/21/2019 – Ends 3/6/2019

Mondays thru Thursday

7:30am – 8:30am
